validate_readings(readings, estimates)

Check a frame of reading moments against the panel it will be read from.

Parameters

estimates	pd.DataFrame	The validated panel.	required

Returns

Name	Type	Description
	pd.DataFrame	The readings in their given order, on their identifying columns, with the subject columns and period_end in the panel’s dtypes, as_of at its own resolution, and a fresh index.

Raises

Name	Type	Description
	PanelError	A column is absent, a key or moment is missing, a timestamp is naive or outside UTC, a subject is read twice at one moment, or a period_end conflicts with the panel. Every failure of the frame’s own contract is reported at once.
